FUNCTIONAL TESTING

A Personalised Approach to Health

Functional testing allows us to move beyond symptoms and understand what’s happening beneath the surface. It gives us a clearer picture of how your body is functioning, where imbalances may exist, and how your nutrition and lifestyle can be tailored to restore health, energy and resilience. Every result is interpreted in the context of your health history. From there, we develop a personalised plan that brings together nutrition, lifestyle and mind-body strategies, designed not just to manage symptoms, but to support healing, rebuild capacity and strengthen long-term resilience.

Functional tests come with a detailed report that breaks down the findings into clear,

actionable insights to guide personalised care.

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA)

HTMA provides a detailed view of your mineral status and balance within the body, along with exposure to environmental toxins. Minerals are essential for nervous system function, energy production and adrenal regulation. This test helps identify patterns such as burnout, fatigue, poor stress tolerance and metabolic slowing.

Nutritional Status

Nutritional testing identifies deficiencies and imbalances that may be impacting energy, cognition, mental wellbeing immunity and overall health. Nutrients underpin every physiological process, and even minor deficiencies can disrupt how the body functions. In many cases, this is the missing piece.

Microbiome Testing (Gut Health)

The gut influences everything from digestion and immunity to mood and brain function. Microbiome testing assesses the balance of bacteria in your gut, identifying dysbiosis, inflammation and digestive dysfunction. From here, we can create a targeted plan to restore gut integrity and support overall health.

OMX (Metabolic Testing)

OMX testing provides insight into how efficiently your body is producing and using energy. It looks at metabolic pathways, mitochondrial function and nutrient utilisation. This is particularly useful for fatigue, brain fog, weight challenges and reduced resilience under stress.

Hormone Testing

Hormones regulate mood, energy, sleep, metabolism and mental wellbeing. Hormone testing allows us to assess imbalances across cortisol, thyroid and sex hormones, helping to explain symptoms such as fatigue, anxiety, poor sleep and mood fluctuations.

Mental Wellbeing

Mental wellbeing is not separate from the body. This assessment explores the biological drivers of mood, cognition and emotional regulation, including stress physiology, neurotransmitter support, inflammation and nervous system function. It allows for a more complete, integrated approach to mental wellbeing.

Epigenetic Testing

At the forefront of modern health and wellness, genetic testing is revolutionising how we approach diet, nutrition and overall wellbeing. By understanding our unique genetic makeup, we can make more informed choices that support our health at a deeper, more personalised level. Epigenetic testing looks at how your environment, lifestyle and nutrition influence gene expression and it highlights areas such as detoxification, inflammation, metabolism and stress response, allowing us to tailor interventions that work with your biology.

Routine Pathology

Standard blood testing remains an important foundation. It provides a broad overview of your current health, including markers of inflammation, blood glucose regulation, liver function, iron status and more. When interpreted through a functional lens, it offers deeper insight into early dysfunction before disease develops.
